Wayne and Holly started telling stories as a team when they were assigned a story in Salt Lake City in 1990. They don't remember the assignment, but they do remember they enjoyed working together. They launched an on-going news series called "The Way We Live", which featured human-interest stories. "The Way We Live" eventually paved the way for the Wave One Group, which launched in 2001 in Portland. Holly is the owner of Wave One Group.

Holly developed the ability to interview, write and produce compelling visual stories during her career as a newscaster and reporter for the NBC affiliate in Mobile, Alabama, the ABC affiliate in Louisville, KY and both the CBS and ABC affiliates in Salt Lake City. Holly's philosophy of storytelling is simple: Say enough, but not too much. Don't be afraid to take stuff out. And always write to your video!

Holly graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in journalism. She is the recipient of a regional Emmy nomination and two national Telly awards.

Wayne launched his visual storytelling career during the mid-1980s as an award winning broadcast photojournalist, producer and editor for the ABC affiliate in Salt Lake City.

Wayne's storytelling assignments took him to the Salmon River in Idaho, where he spent a week documenting the trials and tribulations of a group of developmentally disabled river runners. He also traveled to Honduras to tell the stories of volunteer dentists and the difference they made in one rural community.

Wayne received his BS in broadcasting from the University of Wyoming. He is the recipient of multiple regional Emmy nominations, three national Telly awards and was honored as Television Photojournalist of the Year by the Utah Broadcasters Association.
